Pokken Twitter Poll Winner Gengar Joins Playable Roster

April 27, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

The Ghost type Pokemon has some size, but his attacks also use a lot of subterfuge.

Bandai Namco and Pokemon Company recently unveiled the latest fighter to join Pokken’s roster: Gengar.

The Ghost type Pokemon won the recent Twitter poll on the Pokemon fans wanted to see the most. Gengar stands as one of the bigger and taller Pokemon, only a little shorter than Machamp. His attacks seem to have power, but also use a lot of subterfuge, with licks and fake outs mixed in between his combos.

The trailer shows him using a Shadow Ball and Burst Attack. When he goes for his Burst Attack, he Mega Evolves into Mega Gengar.

More than anything else, Gengar looks like a fun character to use and is likely to be one of the most used in Pokken.

Pokken has only been confirmed for arcades, although it is highly anticipated to be releasing for a Nintendo platform, specifically the Wii U.
