Bloodborne: How To Play In Easy Mode

April 9, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

As befits a From Software game, it’s completely up in the air if this is something the developers intended or not.

A fan has figured out how to open up a Bloodborne easy mode.

As befits a From Software game, it’s completely up in the air if this is something the developers intended or not. Still, if you would prefer to get through the game first with less effort to finish the story, this hack is worth trying out.

Insanely enough, all you need to do is keep the game running, for an estimated minimum of 12 hours. The redditor who found this, meatballz, describes the change in difficulty as a memory leak. Boss patterns change from inscrutable to plodding and predictable, and they literally stop doing things like heal themselves.

Other folks confirm that the change happens if the PlayStation 4 reverts to rest mode and is suspended.

Now, it should also be clear that this change only affects the bosses, so you will still have to contend with difficult enemies, exploration, and the other things that you love to hate in From’s games. The change may also possibly be not due to a memory leak, although as to why this happens is still unclear.

Will you keep your PS4s up overnight for this? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
