Ubisoft Scampering to make Changes to Assassin’s Creed 2 DRM

March 4, 2010 by Gameranx Staff

Ubisodt makes changes to DRM with a patch

Ubisoft’s announcement of a new DRM policy for upcoming it’s PC line-up starting with Silent Hunter 5 and Assassin’s Creed 2 received massive backlash from the PC gaming community. Ubisoft had earlier said that with the new DRM in place players need to be connected to the internet to play the DRM protected games and the moment connection is dropped the game stops playing and you have to continue from the last check point when the connection is restored.

Well, Ubisoft has addressed a few of those issues in the upcoming PC version of Assassin’s Creed 2 by releasing a v1.01 Patch before the release of the game.

The Patch will fix the following issues: [Download]

Assassin’s Creed 2 for the PC is scheduled to release on March 16, 2010
