The Witcher 3: 1080p and 60 FPS Not Impossible, New Screenshot Available

March 19, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

The Witcher 3 is beautiful, but not impossible to run.

CD Projekt Red has been very vocal about the astronomically high settings that will be required to run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This is especially true when it comes to the game's "recommended" technical specifications, which indicate the optimal system hardware needed to run the game.

Gamestar has reported that an Intel i7-4790 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX980 was able to run the game at 1080p on Ultra settings with almost constant 60 FPS. This proves that the concept of running The Witcher 3 at maximum settings is more than feasible, and players won't have to do any waiting for new technology.

A new screenshot detailing some of the game's combat has also come out of the woodwork, which you can see below. The gore effects are extremely detailed, and the background has us excited to explore the game's expansive world.
