Sony has announced a new Resistance game for the PSP's successor, the PlayStation Vita. It's called Resistance Burning Skies.
The demo is being shown on Ellis Island, one of the game's locations. The title's protagonist is not Grayson or Hale, it's a fireman named Tom. One of the features the developers utitlized for the Vita was showcased – Tom's fireaxe is always available via the device's touch-screen.
Resistance Burning Skies also boasts a whole new cover system, which is automated, and it doesn't lock to the player. A new weapon for the series is also included, the Chimera chain-gun.
The studio, Nihilistic Studios, have been collaborating with Insomniac Games, who created the console version of the shooting series.
