The Sims 4 is now available on the Mac/OS X, just as the game’s publisher Electronic Arts promised it would be last month.
If you already purchased a PC version of the game through Origin—the only platform where it is available—you’ll get it for free on the Mac. Interestingly enough, the game features cross-save compatibility between the PC and Mac versions so you’ll be able to play it on two different computers, should you wish.
The Mac version of the game includes all add-on content to date, which is either free or paid-for. There’s no need to wait for Mac versions of the add-on content to come out on the Mac, as it’s set for simultaneous release with its PC counterparts.
The game’s system requirements for the Mac are listed below. Further details on transfering save files can be found in the game’s FAQ.
REQUIRED: Internet connection required for product activation.
