Cities: Skylines Has Been Dated for Release

February 10, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The release date of the city-builder Cities: Skylines has just been announced.

Cities: Skylines, the spiritual successor to Cities In Motion now has a firm release date. The game’s publisher Paradox Interactive has announced that it’s coming out for the PC, Mac and Linux on March 10. Aspiring building magnates and town planners will be able to pre-purchase the game and receive in-game items and other content starting today.

To celebrate this announcement, a brand new gameplay trailer has been released alongside a pre-order campaign offering additional content and items for anyone purchasing the game prior to March 10th. This includes:

•    Five additional in-game items (Basketball Court, Botanical Gardens, Merry-go-round, Bouncy Castle, Dog Park), adding fun, style and practicality to any town!

•    Digital art book containing building blueprints and other original concept art

•    Four digital postcards

“Colossal Order has done an amazing job in developing this game, and their talent and passion clearly shows in what they have created,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “It is no exaggeration to say everyone internally at Paradox has been playing this game for months through every stage of development–it is quite addictive–and we are genuinely thrilled that Cities: Skylines will soon be in the hands of players everywhere.”
