Netherrealm have revealed the system requirements for Mortal Kombat X.
The game received a bump up in specs from the 9th Mortal Kombat, but it’s nothing like the requirements for the likes of The Witcher 3. If you have an older rig, you will need some smaller upgrades to play the game at a minimum, but the recommended specs definitely bring it up and beyond what the PS4 and Xbox One can deliver.
At its very minimum, the game requires i5 750 or a Phenom X4 965, 3 GB RAM, and a GTX 460. Even on recommended specs, you won’t need a card more powerful than a GTX 660. Obviously, there’s no need to belabor the point, but Netherrealm certainly didn’t make this game at the graphical level of games like The Witcher 3, Project CARS, or Batman Arkham Knight. In any case, it’s still a jump up from the last game, with far more textures, and the promise of a bigger story, with the prospect of alternate futures .
Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14 for Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can read the full minimum and recommended specs below. Do you feel these specs for the next Mortal Kombat are reasonable? Or did you prefer a higher jump in specs, for a more visually impressive game? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
