The Division: Alpha Tester Shares Development Details

January 12, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

We can only hope Ubisoft Massive takes the time to polish and clean the game of these bugs before it sees release.

New details on Tom Clancy’s The Division have come up thanks to an alpha tester. We are sharing the details to you now, thanks to YouTuber Open World Games, whom you can subscribe to here.

First off, the game does have bugs and glitches at this point of development. We can only hope Ubisoft Massive takes the time to polish and clean the game of these bugs before it sees release.

The good news is that the third person shooter mechanics are solid, and we can sure to give some thanks to the involvement of Red Storm Entertainment, the developers of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, to that.

The beta tester also promises that the game will be a true open world experience, just like Ubisoft claims. You will be able to freely explore the open world anywhere you would like, with a lot of loot gathering, and a deep RPG system behind it.

There is also the possibility of a huge open beta. It isn’t 100 % guaranteed, but it just might be the sort of thing needed to ensure the game releases with a minimum of issues, if any.

Finally, there are many rumors of the game getting delayed, but the important thing to remember is that these are still rumors. The biggest reason for a rumored delay is, as you may have guessed, Assassin’s Creed Unity. Ubisoft does not want a repeat of 2014, where the long tail of sales for a single game gets compromised by poor critical and consumer reception upon release.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be released on 2015 on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. How do you feel about these updates? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
