Bayonetta 2 recently came out, but developer Platinum Games isn't going to sit around and soak up the positive reception. In a feature published by 4Gamer, the developer has revealed that they are already hard at work developing their next game.
“We’ve already began working on the next project, but it seems like it’ll be a little while longer until we can make an announcement,” said Bayonetta 2 producer Akiko Kuroda. “I hope that we can do something related to the Bayonetta series in 2015 as well, so please keep an eye out for more from Bayonetta!”
Although, we're pretty excited to hear that Platinum Games is already setting things in motion for another title. Bayonetta 2 director Yusuku Hashimoto mirrored Akiko's words:
“Currently, a new project is in progress! We’re doing our best to develop something that will make you all say ‘I want to play it!’ and thank you for your continued support in 2015 as well!”
We're pretty doubtful that it's Bayonetta 3, as the team has probably had their fill of the leather-clad heroine – at least, for now. With this in mind, we're very interested to see what they've got planned for us.
