Call of Duty: Vanguard Fans Concerned Over Lack of FOV Slider

September 7, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

We might not see this feature in this year’s installment.

When it comes to FPS games this year, we have quite a few to get excited for. This is especially true if you’re into competitive gaming. For instance, we have Microsoft’s exclusive Halo Infinite, then there’s the new Battlefield 2042 video game, and of course, the annual Call of Duty installment. Speaking of Call of Duty: Vanguard, there is a concern fans are starting to have. It looks like we may find the FOV slider missing in this game.

Competitive gamers are already fearing console platforms for Call of Duty: Vanguard will have a big hit. According to a Modern Warzone Twitter account report, we won’t have a FOV Slider. This is only for the beta version of this game that’s coming out this month. For those unaware, FOV allows players to adjust the field of view within the game. As you can guess, this is a pretty vital option for competitive gamers as they would prefer getting as much of a view of their surroundings as possible.

There is no FOV slider on console in the #Vanguard beta.

RT if you’d like to see it added into the final build, at least for next generation consoles. (PS5 / Xbox Series X)

Because this option is not in the beta, fans are worried. There’s a possibility that we won’t see this feature in the final build of Call of Duty: Vanguard. It’s not confirmed yet, but that has left some fans tweeting support for this in-game setting. We will likely see that as a popular topic when the beta wraps up unless the game is confirmed to have the setting by the time it launches into the marketplace. For now, it’s purely a waiting game to see if FOV is officially brought up.

Currently, we don’t have much of a wait to endure before we can get our hands on Call of Duty: Vanguard. The new FPS set during World War II is set to launch this November 5, 2021. When the game hits the marketplace, players will find it available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and lastly, the Xbox Series X/S platforms.
