Grand Theft Auto 5 is a spectacular achievement in game development. The game won numerous awards during its release in 2013 and continues to remain in the limelight due ot the recent eighth-generation remakes. Some of you may not be aware that Grand Theft Auto 5 comes packaged with an online component, known as Grand Theft Auto Online. According to the game's developer, Grand Theft Auto Online will be receiving a pretty crucial update in early 2015. This update is one that will bring a number of 'heists' or missions to the online infrastructure.
“We never want to have to move a date but if something is delayed, it’s because it’s not at the level we expect of ourselves,” said lead mission designer Imran Sarwar of the long-awaited Heists missions. “And while we’re not there yet, we’re getting close and Heists will be ready early in 2015.”
“A series of multi-tiered missions featuring diverse prep work, a range of different types of gameplay and a big finale, where team coordination and playing your own distinct role could make the difference between success or failure.
“We also wanted each one to have a unique thread that brought you back in touch with some of the characters from the story.”
Early 2015 is a bit ambiguous, but expect to see the heists go live earlier rather than later. Rockstar is probably already looking ahead to their next main series release, even if they'd never admit it. Grand Theft Auto 5 has probably received most of the major updates that it will ever get at this point.
