Evolve Gameplay Video Introduces Heavy-Hitting Medic, Caira

Turtle Rock Studios has shared a new Evolve gameplay video featuring their latest revealed Hunter, the 3^rd and last Medic, Caira Diaz.

Caira is a heavy hitter offensively as well as defensively, thanks to her grenade launcher. She can freely switch between healing grenades, which provide healing to teammates in a small area of effect, and napalm grenades, which don’t only deal heavy damage, but staggered damage that hurts the monster over time.

There is a tradeoff to Caira’s healing grenades, which is that she cannot lock onto allies. As a result, making the most of these grenades and healing as many teammates as possible hinges on sharpshooter skills.

Caira also has an acceleration field which the whole team can use to get around the game map quickly. Smart utilization of this field will allow the hunters to save up their jetpacks for when they need it.

This gameplay video introduces Caira as a researcher as well, and she recently discovers the unfortunate truth that the monsters are fully capable of evolving and adapting immediately to react to anything the Hunters can hurt them with.

Evolve will be released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 10, 2015.
