Genshin Impact fans have been going through the 2.0 update for a good little while now. After exploring the Inazuma region of the game and going through the various quests, we’re nearing the next big update. 2.1 is expected to launch in September, but we’ll get a better look into the game update tomorrow. Of course, the stream may help confirm some of the leaks from the 2.1 beta test.
So many of us are anticipating the 2.1 updates. We’re hoping to see some new areas, characters, and even a fishing mini-game. We’re not entirely sure what the developers have in mind when it comes to highlighting the game, but at 9 AM ET August 20, 2021, the stream is set to take place on the Genshin Impact Twitch channel. That’s not a long wait to endure, but again, we’re not expecting the latest update to arrive until September.
At the very least, the developers should be able to bring out enough details to give us a good idea of what we’ll be featured in the game. We could look at past datamines, but again tomorrow we’ll have the official details to highlight so we won’t have to rely on leaks. We can also likely expect the upcoming Aloy crossover from Horizon Zero Dawn and the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West to make an appearance.
Another aspect players might be tuning into the stream for is a potential announcement regarding Genshin Impact hitting its one-year anniversary. This game launched on September 28, 2020, so we might get some in-game goodies to celebrate the anniversary. Players who have yet to try this game out, it’s free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. Meanwhile Nintendo Switch owners should be getting a release sometime in the future. Although, at this point we have yet to see any launch window announced.
