Destiny’s Latest Patch Adds New Voice Chat Options and the Ability to Preview Shaders

November 17, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Public events will also occur 10-15 per cent more frequently.

Bungie has released Destiny Update 1.03, to get the game ready for The Dark Below expansion next month.

Changes to the game include a team chat channel, and the option to talk with matchmade players in Strikes and team-based Crucible matches.

The Iron Banner event has also been overhauled, and must now by led by a player on at least level 20. Those below level 20 will need to team up with a higher level player to take part.

Also as part of the update, the number of bounty slots open to players has increased from five to 10, and Eva Lavante finally has new shaders for sale, in addition, players now have the option to preview shaders before deciding to buy them.

Public events will now take place 10-15 per cent more regularly in all public spaces.

You can read the full patch notes on Bungie's website. The update comes in at 2.44GB.
