LittleBigPlanet 3: All Content from Previous Two Games Transfers Over

October 31, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Import your costumes, levels, and more from past adventures without trouble.

The most unfortunate casualties of this most recent generational transitional have been all the games and content that are incompatible with the new consoles. Owners of the Wii U ironically escaped this fate, but those who picked up a PS4 or Xbox One were disappointed to learn that their discs, digital titles, and various other bits of network content were trapped in their older machines. At least LittleBigPlanet fans can take solace in the knowledge that hardware leaps have not held ol' Sackboy back!

Sony has informed us that just about everything from the first two LBP games is compatible with LittleBigPlanet 3 — that applies to both the PS3 and PS4 versions, mind you! All DLC purchases can be redownloaded at no extra charge. All costume pieces, materials, music, and so on that you've collected during you past adventures can be imported. Even levels you've constructed and published using those old tools can be accessed in the new title. Good news all around!

LittleBigPlanet 3 arrives for PS3 and PS4 on November 18.
