Electronic Arts has announced that Star Wars Battlefront will be coming for the holidays in 2015. They succinctly revealed this in a tweet earlier today.
May the Force be with you: Star Wars Battlefront will release for Holiday 2015.

Knowing that the developer first picked up rights to work on Star Wars games on May 2013, this means DICE will have a little over two years to work on this game, which studio head Patrick Soderlund has described as a reboot of the franchise.
The last Star Wars Battlefront game was released in 2005, and then developer Pandemic Studios was completely dissolved in 2009. While some of those devs were brought back into EA, and some possibly could be working on this new game, most of them are now with 343 Industries. As you can see, DICE’s declaration that this would be their interpretation of the Battlefront franchise rings true.
Two years is definitely enough time to make a AAA production, but do you think EA should extend that a little bit more since this is a key Star Wars franchise? Or is this enough time to make a satisfactory product? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
