Far Cry 4 Online Coop GamePlay Reveals Open World Mayhem

October 18, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

You get full freedom to explore Kyriat and raise hell wherever you would like to.

Far Cry 4 online coop is a significantly improved experience from Far Cry 3. Now, you can explore the entirety of the game map as an open world.

In this mode, you and several friends can roam around freely, and take on challenges as they appear. Since this is online multiplayer, the game does not go into split screen, and you are not required to be in the same vicinity as your teammates.

However, you and your friends may opt to stick together on your own. The game affords opportunities for team work, with creativity and planning. For example, one player can take the wheel of a car, while  another player takes the turret spot.

You do share information with each other intuitively. When scouting an area, you can mark enemies’ locations on the map, even from afar, and this information will automatically be shared with your teammates.

While coop is separate from the single player campaign, for all intents and purposes, you are playing Ajay and his colleagues. You are moving around to liberate parts of Kyriat, and this comes up whenever you successfully take an outpost, as Ajay’s men appear on said outpost to take over the spot.

On PlayStation 4, the game comes with 10 keys to Kyriat, allowing you to bring your friends in to play the game with you even if only one of you has a copy.

Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18 to Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
