Bioware's Casey Hudson announced on Twitter that players will be able to tweak their imported Mass Effect 2 character in the third game when it is released sometime next year.
Mass Effect 3 takes place after the events of the second game, where the Reapers have invaded planet Earth and the only person capable of stopping them is none other than Shepard, who's facing trial for genocide after events which take place on the final Mass Effect 2 DLC, Arrival.
Mass Effect 3 is set for a PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 release.
