The free content pack that adds playable boss characters to Hyrule Warriors will arrive in two weeks in the States, but Japan gets to play around with it already. Koei Tecmo has already uploaded a gameplay video for the sorceress Cia, and now it has followed up with videos of her henchmen, the dragon-morphing Volga and the laser-spitting Wizzro.
The free pack arrives for us on October 16 alongside the first piece of paid DLC, called the Master Quest Pack. In addition to adding the horse Epona as a new "weapon," it'll also add some new costumes. It was originally announced that there would only be two new costumes, but it seems like there may be more. Durunia gets a new color scheme that resembles Darmani's ghost from Majora's Mask, and Ruto gets a pop diva's dress like Lulu from the same game. Meanwhile, Zelda gets a slight makeover in order to pass as Princess Hilda from A Link Between Worlds, and Agitha decks out in black for a more gothic appearance. You can check out Wizzro's trailer and pics of the new costumes below.
Hyrule Warriors is currently available on Wii U. You can pre-order the four upcoming packs of DLC for $19.99 total, or purchase them individually when they arrive this month (Master Quest Pack), December (Twilight Princess Pack), February (Majora's Mask Pack), and March (Boss Pack). Aside from the Master Quest Pack, all will arrive a month after they hit Europe and Japan.
