Another trailer has emerged for Alien: Isolation today, entitled 'Misdirection'. The video is part of an ongoing series entitled #HowWillYouSurvive, which has previously explored brief snippets of panic and terror set in the game.
In Alien: Isolation, players will take on the role of Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen, as she investigates the disappearance of her mother and encounters the titular Aliens in the new space station where she resides. The game will take a stealth-survival based approach, closely mimicking the feel of the original movie as opposed to its more action based sequel. A staggering amount of cooperation with 20th Century Fox has enabled Creative Assembly to be authentic to the feel of the films as possible; the studio donated over 3 terrabytes of assets including behind the scenes photos and videos to help re-establish the atmosphere. The development team was even given access to the soundtrack (though many cues have been re-recorded so that the savvy superfans won't be able to predict what's coming next!)
Alien: Isolation arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on October 7, 2014. The game will also feature a recently announced challenge-based Survivor Mode that will include leaderboards and updates in the form of multiple DLC map packs over time.
