Insider Claims Multiple PC Ports For PlayStation Exclusives Are Coming

July 15, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

None of which are Bloodborne.

When it comes to the video game industry, it’s clear that Microsoft is making quite a few moves. You can easily say that Microsoft really fell behind when it came to last-generation console platforms. As a result, Microsoft’s Xbox team went to work with acquiring new first-party studios like Bethesda, making up a subscription service called Game Pass, and blossoming that service into a real contender for gaming going forward. Where Sony will have players purchase their games for multiple platforms and not have a dedicated subscription service to release their first-party studio titles, Microsoft is building up an ecosystem that unlocks games across multiple platforms through a monthly fee.

That’s great for those that want to dive into games across multiple platforms like PC, smartphone to consoles, but Sony is slowly making moves of their own. It was a big surprising move from Sony to see that they would be opening up their line of exclusive titles to the PC platform alone. At first, PC players could play select games through the PlayStation Now service, but with Horizon Zero Dawn, Sony allowed this game to get a port made specifically for the PC platform. It was then followed up by another Sony exclusive, Days Gone.

If Bloodborne gets announced for PC, I’d love to smugly say “I secretly knew all about this!” but it would be a lie. I am aware of multiple upcoming PC ports of PlayStation exclusive games, but sadly none are Bloodborne. However I still have hope it’ll just come out of nowhere.

This is exciting for PC players that didn’t own a PlayStation 4 but now can dive into these iconic video game titles for the first time along with those on console but would like to enjoy these games through their PC. At any rate, we’re still waiting on more video games to get announced and according to one industry insider, Lance McDonald, there’s plenty more in the works. Of course, there’s one exclusive title for the PlayStation 4 that he’s heard nothing about in regards to coming on the PC platform which will leave fans disappointed.

In a tweet sent out by Lance McDonald’s Twitter account, Bloodborne is a game that he’s heard nothing about when it comes to releasing on the PC platform. However, he has been made aware of several other PlayStation exclusive games that are coming to the PC platform. While he’s also hoping to see Bloodborne make a surprise announcement, other exclusives might be just as thrilling to see come out onto PC. One that might come to mind for some is Persona 5 which the franchise is getting ready to make several announcements. Perhaps this is one of those announcements in that the biggest release from the series will hit PC.
