Bandai Namco have released official patch notes for the next update for Dark Souls 2. This will be released prior to the last part of its Lost Crowns Trilogy DLC, Crown of the Ivory King.
Expect PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Steam servers to go offline beginning 10 AM GMT on September 29.
Aside from the requisite changes, a new exchange weapon has been added to the shop. To access it, you need to be at the Smelter Demon at Brume Tower.
From also made these calibrations to the core gameplay:
The time frame for a parry taken from two handed small or normal shields has been adjusted.
Weapons creating abnormal amounts of damage have been fixed.
The Smelter Sword gets an additional explosion effect, when you use it for a strong attack with a sword in each hand.
When using these weapons went through transformation enforcement to mundane, the attack power correction value was higher than desired. From has lowered the value for the following weapons:
· Bandit's Knife
· Black Flamestone Dagger
· Blue Dagger
· Broken Thief Sword
· Dagger
· Manikin Knife
· Mytha's Bent Blade
· Parrying Dagger
· Royal Dirk
· Shadow Dagger
· Thief Dagger
Crown of the Ivory King will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows on September 30. You can read the full details on the patch notes here.
