WWE 2K15 Delayed For PS4 And Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 Versions Still On Schedule

September 17, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

2K Sports did confirm they are making use of the extra time for additional development.

WWE 2K15 has been delayed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game is still scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 28 in North America and October 31 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will then be released on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe.

2K Sports did not fully explain the reasons for the delay. They did state that the delay is in the interest of delivering the best possible experience. They also named Visual Concepts and Yuke’s, and confirmed that the two are making use of the additional development time.

2K Sports did mention that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are getting additional development time. Therefore, this was not the case of rescheduling the release in the interests of coming out in a more favorable release date. The new release date is closer to the Thanksgiving / Black Friday holiday. However, it is entirely possible for Visual Concepts and Yuke’s to miss that vital release date if they deem it necessary.
