Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishment Trailer Reveals the Art of Subversion

September 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Subversive, my dear Watson.

Frogwares Studio has released a new gameplay trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment titled the 'Art of Subversion'.

On the PlayStation Blog, Frogwares' business developer Olga Ryzhko comments:

"Facing incompetence from the police Holmes needs to get… creative, when chasing lines of inquiry in Crimes & Punishments. In this gameplay trailer, watch as Holmes earns the trust of a suspect by transforming himself, and his accent, into a sailor, to gain access to the information he desires."

In his Baker Street home, Holmes can choose from a variety of wigs, hats, glasses, different hair styles, and beards in order to deceive both the police and London's criminals.

Unlike TV series Sherlock and Elementary, Crimes and Punishment takes place at the time of Arthur Conan Doyle's stories and will, presumbaly, be rather less explosive than Guy Ritchie's movies.

Still Frogwares, which has been making Holmes puzzles games for PC for years now, says players can expect "a pure investigation whodunit game that features brilliant detection, dreadful villains and blood-curdling crimes."

The game is set for release on PC, PS3,PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
