Paradox Interactive and Paradox North have announced today that their competitive online title, Magicka: Wizard Wars, has introduced a third map to its rotating arsenal of 4v4 battlegrounds.
The new map, titled Displacement Ridge, offers would-be spellcasters a new area to immolate opponents. There’s something cool about the map, in that it offers multiple teleporters that allow players to zip across the map in the blink of an eye.
Wizards will have to formulate creative strategies utilizing these portals to their advantage if they wish to conquer the opposition.
In addition to the new map, Paradox has announced that they are now providing exclusive rewards to players who recruit new people into the game. Currently enjoyed by over half a million players, the game is encouraging those pre-existing players to invite their friends to come and experience the game.

Alongside the referral program, the game recently introduced Daily Treasure Chests, which grant players new rewards every day. When opening a chest, players will have the chance to grab additional coins for in-game purchases, crystals to unlock new spells, or even a chance to win a new, random robe.
