Telltale's Game of Thrones project may be set during the events of the fifth book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire Sage, A Dance With Dragons according to a teaser from the developer.
Below are spoilers for both the books and the show.
As IGN points out, the Forrester family is given special attention which likely means we'll be playing the game from their perspective. The Forresters have never been introduced directly in either the book or the TV show which seems to suggest we'll be playing as an all new character. We do know that they live in Wolfswood of the North and are sworn to House Glover of Deepwood Motte.
In the books Lady Glover sends scouts to help Stannis Baratheon navigate the Wolfswood and it is this backdrop which serves as context for the quote from Asha Greyjoy (known as Yara on the show). Asha is from the Iron Islands and we can likely link her quote to the Iron From Ice caption with Asha escaping or being rescued from the North.
It seems quite possible that the game takes place during the events leading to Stannis's march on the Wall where he defeats Wildling army at Castle Black.
TellTale has refused to comment on the speculation but promsied that more details are coming soon. Until then, valar morghulis.
