Player housing is making its way into Star Wars: The Old Republic with the release of a new Galactic Strongholds expansion that’s set for release sometime next week. Yep, it’s ridiculous how little fanfare this expansion has gotten given the amount of content it’s set to add to the game.
The game made a brief appearance at Electronic Arts’ gamescom 2014 presentation earlier today, where the company released a new trailer of the expansion to showcase its contents, which revolved around customizing your very own stronghold.
Beyond allowing players to construct and customize their strongholds, the Galactic Stronghold expansion enables Guild Flagships—or guild housing, to be exact. Through the system, guilds can come together to customize their very own base of operations.
Early access for Galactic Strongholds opens for long-term subscribers on August 19. Players with preferred status will gain access to it on September 16, and it launches for everyone else on October 14. For more details, head on to the official website.
