Fable Legends’ Multiplayer Beta Begins in October

August 12, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Microsoft announced the news at their gamescom press conference.

Microsoft announced at their gamescom 2014 press conference today that the beta for Fable Legends will begin on October 16th and you can sign up to take part right now on the game's website.

While neither Microsoft of developer Lionhead would comment on what we can actually expect in the beta, the UK studio said it would add to the trial over time.

Fable Legends was originally announced at gamescom last year and is being powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4. The game sees players return to Albion but is set before the events of the first game in the series.

In it, players can team up with up to three other players or choose to play as the bad guy who's tasked with stopping the heroes through traps and nefarious creatures.

A release date for the game itself has yet to be revealed but you can watch the trailer below.
