Would you kindly play the original BioShock on iOS? That's the question 2K Games wants answered after the company today announced that Irrational's shooter is headed for iPhone and iPad.
The port is being handled by 2K China and is compatible with iPad 4, iPad Mini 2 and iPad Air, plus iPhone 5, 5S and 5C but pricing and a release date for the game have yet to be revealed. 2K and parent company TakeTwo have traditionally favoured premium app releases, however, and there's little reason to believe that this will change with BioShock.
While the game fully supports touch controls, 2K is keen to stress that the port features "the full dynamic gameplay and character interactions of the classic title from 2007".
2K recently hinted at the iOS version of BioShock by tweeting an image of Eve's Garden, a location in the game, along with the words "come bite the apple!"

There's no word on whether BioShock 2 or Infinite will ever make their way to Apple devices but that will likely depend on just how well the original does.
