Nintendo Will Have a Lot to Show at San Diego Comic-Con 2014

The House of Mario is going big with its SDCC presence, including a Smash 3DS tournament.

Nintendo is not known for having a large presence at San Diego Comic-Con, but this year is most definitely an exception. Continuing the train of high-profile marketing that made Nintendo's E3 showing such a success, the company will bring a whole mess of 3DS games, Wii U games, and more to the SDCC floor from July 24 through 27.

At the Nintendo Gaming Lounge, visitors will be able to check out the upcoming amiibo figures, relax in a special Tomodachi Life-themed area, or compete in local and online Mario Kart 8 competitions. There's even a special screening of the upcoming anime film, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, on Friday, July 25, at 9:35 PM Pacific.

But the biggest event is of course the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS tournament, which we've talked about previously. Players can sign up on a first-come, first-served basis, and the battles will air live on Nintendo's Twitch TV channel.

Of course, you'll also be able to sample plenty of games, both released and on the horizon. The full list is below, so stop by the Lounge if you want to give them a spin.
