Colorful PC MOBA Gigantic Has You Fighting Alongside Massive Beasts

July 16, 2014 by Tony Ponce

You can sign up for the alpha right on the game’s website.

New Seattle-based studio Motiga is working on an eye-catching PC MOBA that has a number of things going for it. Devolopment on Gigantic is being helmed by James Phinney, the lead designer on StarCraft, Guild Wars, and State of Decay, for one. Second, it's got a bright cel-shaded art style with a cast of playable heroes that look straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon.

You'll of course be able to select your character class and upgrade them on the fly, but the big hook — and I mean big — are the guardians. Each team has a giant AI-controlled beast that fights for you, and a major strategic element is coordinating with your teammates to strike the opposing guardian's heart.

You are bound to gain even a slight interest after watching the trailer above. If you want in on this game early, sign up for the Gigantic alpha right on the game's website.
