Battlefield 3 Minimum and Recommended System Requirements Surface [Update]

Quad-core CPU and at least 4GB Ram recommended for DICE’s upcoming shooter, Battlefield 3.

Update: It seems that these aren't actual specs according to a developer working on the game known as “repi” on the Beyond3D forums.

The minimum and recommended system requirements for DICE's upcoming shooter, Battlefield 3, have surfaced via Gamestop's product listing page. You can find out everything you need to know about the game's pre-order packs here and system requirements below.

Minimum:

  • Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
  • Operating System: Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Video Card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card

Recommended:

  • Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
  • Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Video Card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
