Singularity delayed to Q1 2010

July 11, 2009 by Gameranx Staff

Activision has decided to delay it’s Time Shifting Action FPS Singularity to Q1 2010…

Activision and Raven Software’s upcoming FPS ‘Singularity‘ has been delayed to the First Quarter of 2010, due to the insane amount of interest the publisher is getting for Call of Duty 4. Activision believes that looking at previous year’s sales figure for new IP’s like Mirrors Edge and Deadspace which were released during the pre-Holiday season and suffered significantly low sales figure due to gamers choosing blue-chip franchise entries like Gears of War 2 and Activision’s very own Call of Duty : World at War, it has decided to postpone the release of their promising Time-Shifting Action FPS to a less intimidating launch date.

Raven Software which enjoyed some some success with it’s movie based title X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and is also working on other titles which include Singularity and Wolfenstien, has looked promising in the past apart from the disappointment Soldier of Fortune 2 was, they believe their new title Singularity would be a must have for every Action First Person Shooter fan.

In Singularity, you fight your way through an ever-shifting environment haunted with time ravaged creatures, while sudden time waves hurl you back and forth between 1950 and the present day. Use your wits and the perfect weapon – the Time Manipulation Device – to unravel the conspiracy on the remote island of Katorga-12.
