Fallout 4 Missing from QuakeCon 2014 Schedule

July 3, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Players won’t be able to catch a glimpse of Fallout 4 at QuakeCon this year.

QuakeCon 2014 is set to take place on July 17 to 20 at the Hilton Anatole hotel in Dallas, Texas this year, Bethesda has announced.

Bethesda has released the schedule of events for QuakeCon 2014. Attendees of the welcome presentation will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the next DOOM game. According to the schedule, the welcome presentation will be held on the Ventrilo Main Stage starting at 6.00pm CDT.

Beyond Doom, Bethesda partner studio Zenimax Online will discuss plans for their MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online, on July 18 at 5.00pm CDT. The panel will be followed by a question and answer session and the first 3,000 to attend will receive a free copy of the game.

Throughout the show, aspiring artists can also visit the id Software booth in the Exhibit Hall from 12:00pm – 2:00pm to meet Hugo Martin, id Software’s Art Director, for an art portfolio review. Amateur or professional artists who want feedback and career advice should bring their portfolios to the event for this unique opportunity to meet with an expert in the field of film and video game art.

Additionally, the Bethesda booth in the exhibit hall will play host to playable demos of The Evil Within (read our E3 2014 preview), the new survival horror game from Shinji Mikami, join in tournaments for Battlecry, and check out The Elder Scrolls Online (check out our review).

Despite the fact that it doesn’t look like Fallout 4 will be making its debut at the event, gamers are being provided with many reasons to attend.
