So, are you all caught up on who’s confirmed in Super Smash Bros. 4 so far? Check out this fantastic fan-art that enumerates each one for you! For non Nintendo-core fans, we’re sharing a short intro for everyone here. This list goes through each fighter in the art left to right, up going down. Don't hesitate to click on the picture to see it full size.
· Lady Palutena (Kid Icarus) – the Goddess of Light and rightful ruler of Angel Land.
· Charizard (Pokemon) – final form of Charmander, and one of the most famous and prominent Pokemon.
· Sheik (Ocarina of Time) – Princess Zelda’s alter ego, trains Link and gives him hints throughout his quest.
· Zero Suit Samus (Metroid) – technically introduced in Metroid: Zero Mission. When extenuating circumstances force Samus to drop her Varia Suit, she reveals she can be faster and more dangerous without it.
· Animal Crossing Villager (Animal Crossing) – the player’s avatar in the Animal Crossing games. Can catch bugs, plant trees, fish, and more.
· Bowser (Mario) – main antagonist in the Mario games.
· King Dedede (Kirby) – main antagonist in the Kirby games. Essentially just like Bowser, but a little friendlier and goofier.
· Diddy Kong (Donky Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racers) – Donkey Kong’s simian friend, with a prehensile tail and a propensity for popguns.
· Donkey Kong (Donkey Kong Country, Mario Vs Donkey Kong) – protector of the Kongo Jungle and occasional antagonist/rival to Mario.
· Toon Link (Wind Waker) – a cuddlier, gentlier Link which gamers either love or hate.
· Kirby (Kirby) – star of his own beginner friendly franchise. Generally OP.
· Mii Fighters (Tomodachi Life, Streetpass Mii Plaza) – player avatar used in many Nintendo games.
· Luigi (Mario, Luigi’s Mansion) – Mario’s younger brother, who can jump and hover a little bit higher. Some say this is actually his year.
· Yoshi (Mario, Yoshi’s Island) – green dinosaur with strange egg creating powers. A really good babysitter.
· Lucario (Pokemon) – Another popular and powerful Pokemon. Has made many appearances in the anime and manga.
· Mega Man (Mega Man) – Capcom’s guest character is the genuine article, and the 1st we’ve seen of the Blue Bomber in quite a while.
· Pac-Man (Pac-Man) – another guest character, this time courtesy Bandai Namco. Predates Mario by just a few years.
· Mario (Mario) – This plumber needs no introduction.
· Sonic (Sonic) – Sega’s guest character, and longtime Mario rival turned playmate/rival.
· Rosalina (Mario Galaxy) – contrary to what many fans thought, she didn’t create the Lumas, but is rather their adoptive mother. I wouldn’t mess with her anyway.
· Fox McCloud (Star Fox) – the Lylat system’s most famous Arwing pilot is also one of Smash’s most popular and famous combatants.
· Marth (Fire Emblem) –the hero-king of Altea brings some seriously powerful swordplay with him.
· Ike (Fire Emblem) – Fire Emblem’s other representative brings the brawn only a blue collar hero can bring.
· Greninja (Pokemon X and Y) – the latest Pokemon to join the cast was designed separately from the Pokemon games, so no spoilers there.
· Link (The Legend of Zelda) – presumably closer to the Link we all know, this Link eschews cool and has a lot of tricks on his sleeve.
· Samus (Metroid) – In her Varia suit, Samus is a mobile tank.
· Princess Peach (Mario) – The most infamously damseled in princess in gaming is also one of Smash’s most powerful combatants. It really makes you wonder…
· Princess Zelda (The Legend of Zelda) – The other infamously damseled princess in all of Nintendo is a powerful sorceress and fighter in her own right.
· Wii Fit Trainer (Wii Fit) – Sakurai’s surprise character packs a lot more Fit than you can handle.
· Pit (Kid Icarus) – the hero of Angel Land is going to have to work hard to impress the goddess who is essentially his mom.
· Captain Olimar (Pikmin) – this beleaguered astronaut still doesn’t seem like he belongs in a fighting game, but he’s got some tricks.
· Little Mac (Punch-Out) – this scrappy fighter knows he’s genuinely an underdog against the likes of Samus, but that’s how he likes it.
· Pikachu (Pokemon) – finally, the most famous Pokemon ever is never going to have to become a Raichu ever to take on these fighters.
Super Smash Bros. 4 is coming to the 3DS October 7 and to the Wii U this holiday season.
