Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: Primal Evolutions in Action, Mega Evolution Theories

June 29, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Fans think they know what Mega Evolution Pokemon the Team bosses will use.

We have new information for you regarding Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

As of right now, Nintendo has only confirmed 5 Mega Evolutions, out of at least 30 Pokemon who will appear in these games. Confirmed among these are Blaziken. Of course, the trailer showed the bosses of Team Aqua and Team Magma, Archie and Maxie respectively, with what appear to be the logos of Keystones behind them. They’re bound to have Mega Evolution Pokemon, but who could these Pokemon be?

One intriguing theory is that Sharpedo and Camerupt will receive said Mega Evolutions. They seem to be good candidates as Pokemon the two trainers own that fit would this criteria, plus, fans think there are elements in their revamped costumes that are evocative of said Pokemon.

Assuming we follow this train of thought, Sharpedo is believed to use Moxie, Drizzle, and Speed Boost, and will retain the same qualities, and that Camerupt will get a defensive boost, and will use Flash Fire, Solid Rock and Drought.

An alternate theory put forward is that these will be Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon instead of Mega Evolution Pokemon. However, it would seem Primal Devolution uses a different process than Mega Evolution, and gs,iven the hint of Keystones, this seems unlikely.

Whatever the case is with Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, you can see them in action in the game below.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are coming to 3DS November 2014.
