Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Trailer Reveals July Debut

May 19, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for the next thrilling Resident Evil project.

There is a ton of hype around Resident Evil right now. Recently, Capcom just released their latest video game installment to the mainline franchise. Resident Evil: Village has been making its rounds online with fans discussing the video game, where the storyline will go next, along with even modding capabilities that are coming out in the future. However, that’s not all we’ll be talking about when it comes to the IP later this year.

Outside of the latest video game installment that was released earlier this month, we also have a reboot live-action movie adaptation and a CGI Netflix series in the works. While we don’t have a trailer yet for the rebooted film which is supposedly tied a bit closer to the video game franchise, we have a new trailer to showcase the upcoming CGI series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness which you can view on the video player embedded above.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be taking place in 2006. The series will be starring Leon along with Claire although the duo is not working under the same organization. Instead, Leon has been working with the federal government where he was tasked to lead an investigation against an attack on the White House network. Meanwhile, Claire is working with TerraSave which is an organization based around preventing bioterrorism from happening. Although the duo will reunite once again in this series.

It’s a series that we’re eager to dive into ourselves, but now we know just when we can start the season up. It looks like the latest trailer reveals Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be hitting the streaming platform starting July 8, 2021. Perhaps this will tie fans over until an expansion is announced for Resident Evil: Village or if we get some new information or trailer showcasing the upcoming live-action adaptation rebooted film.
