We have new information for you regarding Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
First off, let’s tackle the Halo 5 Beta rumors, which come from anon forum poster ntkrl. This anon’s predictions about Microsoft’s E3 presser held true, so he’s trusted so far. Ntkrl claims that Halo 5 will have six to eight maps, two of which are arena maps and two are forgeable maps.
343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor also confirmed that Halo 5: Guardians is using a different engine than the one for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The engine in the anthology also includes something called technical makeup, which is perhaps esoteric in description but is apparently part of the enhancements on the originals.
On the side, there will be a 14th Halo novel in the works, called Halo Broken Circle. Written by John Shirley, this book expounds on The Great Schism, the big event that precedes Halo 2. It will release a week before Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming November 11 of this year, and Halo 5: Guardians is coming 2015, both exclusively to Xbox One. Image is from Halo: The Master Chief Collection
