Bethesda has just released a surprise trailer of the upcoming game from id Software, Doom. The trailer showcases a Cyberdemon in all of its glory that players will face and its deadly armaments of war. The game is slated to be the fourth in the long-running series that gave birth to the first person shooter genre as we know it.
Sound effects from the first Doom game can be heard in the trailer, which should be enough to give fans of the series chills. There’s no telling whether they’ll be replicated in the game proper, but I certainly hope so.
More information on Doom will be announced at QuakeCon 2014, which takes place from July 17 to 20. Anyone who purchased Wolfenstein will receive access to the Doom beta.
