Hiding in the dark from monsters isn’t going to help you very much in H1Z1 as its developers at SOE have confirmed today that zombies will ignore the darkness and still come for you when night falls. In the dark, they’ll be able to sense your movement despite you not being able to see them.
The new detail was disclosed with the release of a new screenshot, that was released alongside two further screenshots depicting the zombie menace that’s set to infest H1Z1. One of the two other screenshots depicts zombies on fire as two survivors attempt to hold them back with clubs and molotov cocktails, while the last screenshot just shows them milling around.
I might quote Bane from The Dark Knight Rises: “You think darkness is your ally? I was born in the dark!”
