We have a batch of new information for you regarding Bungie’s Destiny, starting on details about the alpha and beta, as well as some new art.
So, 1st things 1st, Bungie addressed inquiries about the alpha up front. The alpha will only be available for employees, so fans need to check their excitement just a bit. Bungie does promise that E3 attendees will get a taste of Destiny, particularly competitive multiplayer. What everyone really needs to wait on is beta, and Bungie promises they will make this the big prelaunch hands-on experience the fans are hoping for. To join in on the beta, fans simply have to preorder the game now.
It looks like Sony has already outed the date for their alpha for the game, based on the image below. (Reminder that Sony is getting 1st dibs on this.)
And now let’s look at some art. Community manager David Dague shared our 1st look at Warlock holding a Thorn in game. This bad guy gun definitely looks the part.
That’s not all, however. Take a look at some more pics, this time of a still-unidentified weapon. It appears to be a melee weapon, and really, the resemblance to a police nightstick can’t be a coincidence.
Finally, check out this sweet little fan work: a Warlock statue WIP.
Destiny is coming November 9 to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
