Dragon Age 3: Inquisition: Meet Your Crew! And Welcome To The Emerald Graves And Emprise Du Lion

May 11, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Bioware has decided to share with us a close look at two of the areas the Inquisition will not be expected to be in.

We have some great new information on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.

Nobody expected this Inquisition screenshot, at least this early. It doesn’t represent all your Companions, but it’s just nice to see them all together like this. From left, pictured are Varric Tethras, Solas, Iron Bull, Vivienne, Cassandra Pentaghast, and you, the Inquisitor. Missing is the elven archer Sera, and possibly three more unannounced companions, but hopefully we’ll see more of them soon.

We also have more information regarding the Emerald Graves, and the Emprise Du Lion, straight from Bioware themselves.

The Emerald Graves were the backdrop of the 2nd Exalted March, so you can expect to see a lot of abandoned Orlesian ruins, recently occupied villages, small elven refugee camps, and most interestingly, caves, some of which are littered with drawings from the elves themselves.

This is no fantasy archaeology trip, however; the area is in the middle of being reclaimed by the forest, so entering this setting means facing up to wolves ,bears, halla, snoufleurs, nugs, and more. The caves themselves may be occupied by some treasure guarding giants. Oh, and there are also dragons. It’s a dangerous place to enter alone, but if you’re leveled up a bit, it’s a good place to come for some grinding.

The Emprise Du Lion is also designed as a place you can grind in, but why would you want to? The draw to this place is investigating the red Templars, and what they’re doing in this abandoned elven stronghold. To add to that, Bioware came up with an excuse to add dragons to this area too! They were naturally drawn to the hot springs, so you will want to keep an eye out when you come running here.

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is coming October 7 to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
