Finally, developer Spiders has released the launch trailer for Bound By Flame.
For the uninitiated, Bound By Flame is one of the hype games slated for the Playstation 4, even if the dev isn’t a big AAA. Imagine a warrior suddenly struck by a demonic influence. Now, you have to choose between suppressing your demonic urges to become a hero, or taking control of them and discovering the full extent of your power.
Thankfully, Spiders is taking the Bioware approach to protagonist creation, so you get to choose your character’s attributes, including gender, facial features, etc. Taking that approach further, player choices throughout the game will direct where the story will lead, and the different endings you can get. There will also be crafting, and even a friendship/romance/rivalry mechanic.
As we mentioned before, Spiders isn’t as famous as Bioware or Deep Silver, but what we’ve seen so far is a product competitive to any of their AAA productions. Even if the game isn’t exactly original, or if it turns out to be not as polished, it certainly looks like it will be a fun time.
Bound By Flame is coming May 9 to PS4, Windows, Xbox 360, and PS3. You can watch the full trailer below.
