Borderlands 2 on PS Vita Only Supports Two Player Co-op

May 2, 2014 by Yesika Reyes

Borderlands 2 won’t exactly be the same on the PS Vita.

Based on a recent post in the PlayStation blog, the PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2 won't exactly be the same as its counterparts on other platforms. The biggest difference woule have to be the fact that co-op would only support two players on the PS Vita.

It was noted that SCEA Third Party Production Team worked hard to get four player co-op player mode in the PS Vita. However, they had to make a decision late in the development to focus on only two player instead in order to maximize it.

The controls might be slightly different and it was outlined in the blog: "Controlling Borderlands 2 on PS Vita is a customizable affair: just go into options and remap to your heart’s content. To change a control, tap the action or button (even the abilities assigned to the touch screen or rear touch pad) you want to change, then tap wherever you want the action to be. By default, tapping different areas of Vita’s rear touch pad yield a sprint or a melee attack, while a tap on the front screen tosses a grenade or activates your character-specific ability," the post reads.

When people pick the game up on May 6th, they'll have access to all the DLC characters and campaign packs. They will also be able to take advantage of cross-save if they played on the game on PlayStation3.

We reported the release date of the game earlier this month.
