Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes is set to be released this September according to the game's executive producer John Vignocchi during an official webcast.
The game was officially announced last week at a special event but Disney Interactive gave no release date for the game. At the 08:28 mark, Vignocchi says:
"Definitely check out all the Avengers that are going to be part of the 2.0 edition of Disney Infinity out this September."
Disney has noted an Autumn release for the title but has yet to offer something more specific and an official Disney fansite stated the game would come out in August before issuing a retraction.
If true, Disney will beat Activision's next Skylanders installment to market. The Call of Duty publisher announced last week that Skylanders: Trap Team will be released on October 5th in North America and on October 10th in Europe.
Disney Infinity 2.0 will see the Avengers take on enemies such as Loki and Modok but other settings and characters have yet to be confirmed.
