The first official patch for Age of Wonders 3 is live, bringing the game up to version 1.09 and adding a host of new features including native high resolution support for monitors at 2560×1440 and 2560×1600.

The patch corrects a variety of hardware-specific problems, registration issues, and optimizes game performance and tweaks AI behavior as well as adding critical balance fixes to the game. Many of these issues were requested by the game’s playerbase, and its developers have been quick to address them.

In addition to all of this, the new patch adds quicksaving support based on player feedback. Not bad.

The patch is available as an automatic download via Steam or as a separate file via GOG.com.

Expect a review of the game from us sometime next week.
