Game Breaking Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze Bug Fixed, Version 1.1.0 Now Available

April 3, 2014 by Holly Green

If you’ve experienced this error, download the update now to be able to continue the game file.

Nintendo and Retro Studios have issued an update for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze that fixes a game-breaking bug. Previously, after completing level 3-3 Frantic Fields, some users were experiencing a glitch in which the next path to level 3-4 Scorch 'n' Torch, would not properly open, preventing them from completing the game. Update version 1.1.0 eliminates the error. New players should note that even if you purchase the game after this update, you will be required to download it upon installation.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze debuted this past February on the Wii U. Be sure to check out the Gameranx review to hear our thoughts on how it turned out!
