Something Pretty Crazy Happens When Your Controller Dies in Infamous: Second Son

March 24, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

Developer Sucker Punch has your back, even when your controller runs out of juice.

You’re in a heated battle. Bullets are whizzing by your head, cars are popping left and right like bubble wrap, and the people of Seattle are feverishly running for safety. Infamous: Second Son can throw a lot your way at once, but what happens when your controller dies and you’re left without a means to fight back? According to a member of the Reddit community, developer Sucker Punch has already thought of this scenario, and supplies you with a little bit of help when the worst happens.

“While I was in the middle of a pretty heated fight my controller's battery died and disconnected,” he wrote. “Delsin kept running on the screen and I was convinced he was going to just keep running straight and cause me to leave the fighting area. But, instead he ran out of the danger area and hid behind cover. I know it's simple, but what an amazingly convenient feature.”

See? Some developers really do think of everything. Infamous: Second Son is available right now on PlayStation 4.
