A senior informant has told CVG that Activision CEO Bobby Kotick's personal assistant spoke to representatives at EA to discuss the chances of him experiencing a hands-on trial of Battlefield 3 behind closed doors at the Los Angeles event.
The military shooter, which is only being demoed on the PC, was closed to the public and open only to journalists and certain members of the videogame industry.
The PA's request was reportedly denied by the Electronic Arts representative, who explained that senior management at the company had been consulted and subsequently denied Kotick's request.
EA's Battlefield 3 will be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms on October 25.
